1. Preparation Check water source: Ensure a clean and stable water supply (no sand or debris). Inspect hoses and connectors: Verify there are no leaks, cracks, or blockages. Check water pump: Make sure the pump is primed and runs smoothly. Power and controls: Confirm the electrical or hydraulic system is ready and functioning.
2. Water Spraying Test Steps Start the machine and let it idle for a few minutes. Switch to water-spray mode (without concrete). Gradually open the water valve and observe the spray pattern. Adjust the nozzle angle and boom position to test coverage at different heights and distances. Observe pressure gauge – normal operating water pressure should typically be 0.4–0.6 MPa (check the machine's manual). Check uniformity of spray: the mist should be even, without large droplets or dry spots.
3. Inspection Points No leaks in water lines, joints, or nozzle. Stable pressure throughout the test. Boom stability and motion – confirm smooth operation when extending or rotating. Nozzle rotation (if automatic) works correctly.
4. After Test Close valves and stop the pump. Drain water from the system. Clean the nozzle and filters to prevent clogging before shotcrete testing.
